Occupational Health Management Referrals in Inverness, Moray and the Highlands

The CIPD states that the “average rate of employee absence now stands at 9.4 days per employee per year” and so having a solid strategy for managing absence from work is essential. Be ready to ensure your employees receive the appropriate support and reduce the potential impact of absence for them and the business.

As the largest occupational health clinic in Inverness, our team of expert clinicians work you and your employee to determine the most appropriate course of action when sickness absence occurs. Having a solid attendance management strategy in place will allow you to make contingencies that allow your operations to continue smoothly if someone is off ill long-term.

We look to ensure your business experiences minimal disruption when the unexpected occurs – and that your employees are well looked after and have a successful return to work. Our support will help you plan for absence by providing guidance on fitness for work, workplace adjustments and support for returning to work.

When you refer your employee, our clinician reviews the information you have provided and has a chat with the individual to better understand their condition and how their ability to work is affected.

You will then receive a detailed report providing you with recommendations to return the person back to work where possible. Where someone is managing a medical condition at work, the report will advise you on what reasonable adjustments could be made so the individual can remain working.

As standard, a management referral report will include:

A copy of the report is also provided to your staff member, so they and their manager or HR representative can discuss how to progress following medical advice.
