Meet the Directors
Our Story
Alert Health was founded in April 2014 by Amy MacRae and Dr Liz Wright, following a management buyout – quickly becoming the leading occupational health services provider in Inverness, the Highlands and Islands and Moray.
We saw an opportunity to support local individuals and businesses working in a range of sectors, including oil and gas, renewables, fishing, manufacturing, transport, leisure, food and drink, and construction.
In 2023, we moved to our new purpose-fitted clinic on Inverness Campus, improving our client experience and staff wellbeing, and providing us space to grow and collaborate.
In June 2025, Dr Louise MacLarty became Medical Director, and we continue to look ahead to the future, embracing new technologies that make life easier for our clients and enhance the services we provide.
Liz's Legacy
In January 2025, we experienced a profound loss when Dr Liz Wright died. Our business was built on her expertise, practicality, integrity, commitment and friendship. We are so fortunate that she left a legacy of training clinicians and sharing her wisdom with everyone around her – including Louise, who had the privilege of being mentored by Liz for many years.
Although she is no longer with us, her presence is felt in everything we do. Her values and the memory of her remain an important part of who we are.
