Giving back to the local community is something that’s extremely important to us at Alert Health, particularly in supporting other organisations with values that match our own.
Recently we sponsored a trike for Spokes for Folks, a Cycling UK-affiliated community group which provides sociable rides for the elderly or those with limited mobility. Piloted by trained volunteers, the group promotes the use of local green spaces and helps to break down the barriers of social isolation and disability access through trike and adapted bike rides.
From Spokes for Folks, Inverness:
“Allowing people who wouldn’t normally be able to get on a cycle ride to experience that lovely feeling of a breeze on your face and see the places they wouldn’t normally be able to go.”
As our goal is to assist businesses and individuals across Scotland to protect, monitor and value worker health, we felt our values aligned greatly with the organisation as Spokes for Folks aims to benefit the physical and mental wellbeing of the community.
